when i was working on some VM which is in my hard disc (my passport ultra 2TB). all of the sudden it had stopped working and from then when i plug into my laptop it is not detecting and the fan inside the hard disc had stopped rotating. can anyone solve this problem and get my data back.

If not working, then try to use some data recovery tools provided by OS (Windows/MacOS) to recover important data form the hard drive.
