I just wondered if anyone else has this issue with my passport ultra. I just bought one and I notice that the icon from the driver and printers and from safely to remove is a default hdd icon. I notice also that on device and printers it has as manufacturer unavailable.
I heave two my book duo one my book and one my passport connected to the pc and all display they own icons and listed as manufacturer western digital.
I try everything the last hours,formatting update firmware reinstall usb drives change letter path nothing change. I didn’t notice any other issues.is working in all usb ports.
Does anyone have the same issue?

You should try to connect My Passport Ultra in other computer and check its drive icon. If there is any issue with the drive icon, you need to verify the warranty details of drive.

I try already but the same thing happens.
I try an old wd elements too and the same. I start to believe that is Windows and not the HDD. U just need to verify this with other owners of passport ultra.
