I am using my drive for a backup on my Mac and things were working well. I removed the drive when I was finished with my project and the next time I tried to plug it in, the drive light lit, the disk was spinning but I was not able to access my data. I tried on a few different Macs and the same results. I have been told that this is because of the cable. Does anyone have information about cable issues?

Thank you for your response. The drive does not show up with disk utility. Drive power light lights and inner disk whirls, though.
