Hi all, I would like to ask you if is there some hint how to prevent my passport disk (external with USB connection) from parking heads in Linux?
The disk is 500 GB my passport.,
I tried using sdparm for manipulating standby timer, but this is affecting sleeping of the disk and not the heads parking. I also tried idle3-tools with this error
sg16(VSC_ENABLE) failed: Invalid exchange
hdparm is not working due to the USB-SATA conversion.
I need to run a system on this disk, so parking heads after 8 seconds is unacceptable.
Thank you for help.
