My Passport SSD gets very hot

I bought the 1TB My Passport SSD . This one https://shop.westerndigital.com/es-es/products/portable-drives/wd-my-passport-usb-3-2-ssd#WDBAGF5000AGY-WESN

When I connect the SSD to my pc it starts to heat up, even when I’m not working with it, just connected. It is normal? I am considering returning the SSD.
