My Passport Pro for Mac is not showing on Mac/laptop

I am trying to upgrade My Passport Pro for Mac from 2x2TB to 2x5TB. However, the hard drive did not show up on my Mac. I have upgraded the hard drive from 2x2TB to 2x4TB last year and it is running with no issue. I am wondering what is the max capacity of the My Passport Pro would support? What Format I would need to format it before I insert to My Passport Pro case?
