I have an HP laptop running Windows 10. Using Firefox and PC PItstop/PCmatic Super Shield. My back up drive is a WD My Passport 1TB drive. Model number WDBYNN0010BBK-WESN.
In my search for a solution, I’ve found many people are having this same problem, but have wasted countless hours looking for a solution. On install, the drive worked beautifully. It backed up as advertised. I have yet to be able to get it to do another back up. I’m about ready to use it for target practice and get a drive from another manufacturer.
Please help me avoid that extreme measure!
I use PC-Matic on 3 laptops. 2 HP, Win10 Pro & a Toshiba, Win10 Home. Each has at least 1 4tb external portable hard-drive attached.1 has my book 6tb & my passport 4tb attached. I have never had any problem with a conflict with PC-Matic, or any reason to even suspect there was a conflict.
I’m also a devoted user of Firefox. (v80 is avail now)
So, I can relate to this set up. But not a compatibility issue.( Not yet anyway).
All to say, look in another direction from my point of view. Any recent changes to system ? Recent file scan, system scan, logs checked ?
