I never had any trouble with my passport on Windows 7 but since I had to get a new computer with 8 on it my passport has been having trouble. The drive will show in my computer, in computer management on disk 1 with the blue allocated bar and on the safely eject disk area FOR A WHILE then if you restart or do other things on your computer it eventually will disappear from all those places. I then have to unplug my passport/plug it back in and restart the computer for it to show up again. Makes no sense to me. Like I said this never happened on win 7 just win8. Any ideas out there please!
Hello, be sure to connect the Passport USB cable directly to the PC, avoid using USB extension cables or USB hubs. If the problem continues you can try running a test using DLG. Check the link below for the steps.
