HELP! My son dropped my passport and when I plug it in to my computer I get a solid white light and it doesn’t spin and isn’t recognized on my computer. I will be taking it in for data recovery but wondered if there is any hope.

A dropped drive is usually physically damaged and beyond do it yourself recovery. It depends on how damaged the platters are on what they can recover professionally.
