My Passport for Mac not showing up

Just bought the My Passport for Mac and it lights up when I connect it to my macbook pro but it’s not in Finder or Disk Utility. I’ve tried it in different USB ports, restarting my computer, and using a different cord but it still does not show up. This is very frustrating… what do I do?

Edit: I plugged in my Mom’s My Passport for Mac and it shows up as mine should. I also tried mine on another mac and it would not show up.

Try to use WD Disk Utilities if it can help. If not then return the device for a replacement.
