Bad day today. my 500GB drive was connected and it fell down. (from 1feet)
Now it has stopped working and if I connect it to PC, it asks to format it before using it…
Anyway to resolve this? I have important data on it.
Tuff one this one. If the drive did not receive phisical damage, you might need to use a Data Recovery Software to try extracting the data and then reformat the drive to try to use the drive again. click on the links to view instructions for each step.
