My Passport Essential SE (USB 3.0)

Hi Community,

          I have 1TB My Passport Essential SE (USB 3.0) when I connect it to the PC is sound normally ,but  the led is off and the HD is not detected .

I tried :-

1-Changing the cable .

2-Test the same cable on another HD and it work normally .

3-chnaging the PC .

4-changign the USB port (USB 3 and USB 2)

5-connect the USB cable to the HDD while is connected to the laptop .

Would you please advise .

Hello,

Seems you already tried and did the necessary troubleshooting. This means the drive is dead. If the drive is till under warranty then you can get it replaced.

     Unfortunately  the my HDD is out of warranty , is the led off sign mean that the device cannot be working again and I lost all the information in it ? or there is a way to do recovery ?
