My Passport Essential SE can only be detected if I mount it before starting up my computer

Hi all,

For some strange reasons, my machine no longer recognize this portable HD if I plug it while windows is running.  The only way I can use it is shut the PC down, plug it in and start up the PC. (My other portable [same type] doesn’t have this problem) 

Anyone know what’s going here?  I haven’t tried it on other PC though.

This is weird, is usually the opposite.  I thin you should try on a second computer, to compare results.
