My Passport Essential SE Cable

I just purchased a 1TB  My Passport Essential SE.  Is the cable that comes with the drive a USB 3.0 cable?

I have done a backup of my old pc which has USB 2.0 with that cable and plan to transfer my data to my new system when it arrives which will have USB 3.0.  The black cable that came with the drive has a micro-B on one end and what looks like a standard USB on the other end, not sure what it should look like.  I would like to know if I need to purchase another cable?

I was thinking there would be a different connector, but the picture shows it’s the same cable for USB 2.0 & USB 3.0

Looking into it some more… looks like two different cables.

Found the label that I ripped off the cable without reading it and it says “USB 3.0 compatible with USB 2.0”.
