My passport Essential makes sound....Is it dying?

My Passport essential (500 GB  portable) makes sound  while writing data.

While reading data sound is less/ There is no problem in reading and writing data

Is it going to crash.

Its still in gaurantee period

I guess the head is not working properly. what should i do?

Did you try a different USB port if it’s a desktop one on the back and don’t use a hub or cable longer than the one provided. Find your drive on the WD site and download DLG and see if the drive passes.
