Greetings: I recently bought a My Passport Essential for Mac and now I no longer use a Mac. I want to use the hard drive with my new HP Wndows 7 box and acutally the hard drive did work, but on the first hookup to the new PC, Windows reported that the drive did not install properly and showed something about the SES driver failing on the report.
The My Passport is originally for the Mac, but I am wondering if there is a way to update the firmware for Windows 7 (without “bricking” the drive). In a manner of speaking, changing it from the Mac version to the PC version?
