My Passport appears as 'not supported' and 'unknown' on my media player

I am a Mac user and been using 2TB My Book for years. I have the Paragon software, which is meant to ease managing NTFS partitions on IOS. My Book was perfectly working with my Sony Media Player, only it wasn’t stable.
Now I’ve started using 2TB My Passport… I formatted it to NTFS using the Paragon software. Then I connected my device to the Media Player, and it says that the device is not supported (while my 500GB Samsung external drive is perfectly working with it and it’s stable!).

Media Players can be very finicky with hard drives …

The first obvious things to check ( and cross check with working hard drives ) on your Media Player are …

The Supported Format: eg NTFS, FAT, FAT32, exFAT, HFS etc etc

The Supported Capacity: eg. 500GB, 1TB, 2TB etc

The Supported Partition Type: eg MBR (Master Boot Record) or GPT (GUID Partition Table).

A lot of older Media Players only support MBR which has a MAX Capacity of 2TB … GPT Supports 2TB and Higher.

All recent WD External HDD’s are now factory GPT Partitioned.
