My Passport 750GB not found

Bought so i can transfer files between a Windows 7 64bit and a wiondows XP 32bit.  Even thought my MyPassport elite works on either one, the 750gb will  not showup on the   xp machine( formatted the 750GB   on the Win 7 ). I get the hardware found and installed plus the ding but it is not in My computer or the disk management. Help please

I’m willing to bet that the passport is not getting enough energy from the XP computer, avoid using USB hubs or USB extension cables and connect the passport directly to the computer.

You were right.  But i took it back anyway , and got the  Mypassort essential. Worked right off . Not sure about plugging into hubs always heard not to  unless its about none powerd ones.
