Hi, I have used three 500GB My Passport drives for years without problem. Recently I bought a 1TB drive, and the issue is that if my PC goes into sleep mode, when it wakes My Computer can see the 1TB drive but it will not open files from it or save to it. The problem is not my PC, as the 500GB drives don’t do this, so it must be something in the 1TB software. I have seen a solution in this forum which involves turning off sleep / hibernate mode, but I don’t want to do that. I just want my 1TB drive to work the same as my 500s. My PC runs Windows 7 with all the updates.
Any advice would be appreciated.
