After three weeks of searching for the password to my Passport, I’m ready to erase the drive and start over again. Unfortunately, there is no way for me to do it. The prompt screen requires me to log in before I can erase. Is there a way to erase my drive and start over again? Maybe in the future, the people at WD may consider allowing users to erase data without having to log in first. And provide owners with an option to unlock their drives from the cloud in situations like mine. I do agree with making sure all drives are secure and safe from hacking and other dangers, but in cases like mine, the threat of interception is very low, and my drive is not going places where it will be subjected to these kinds of situations. Well this is supposed to work, but I can’t get the “erase” function to even come up.
