My passort locked- how to recover password

Hi,

My laptop is not detecting my passport, and in the WD smart ware tool its displaying My passport is locked. I have not set any password for my device, so is there a default password with which I can unlock by device? cause I really need the data stored in my password.

There is no password reset or work around. Don’t bother taking the drive out of case the data on it is encrypted even if you get the drive recognized in another enclosure or as an internal.
