My Month and a Half Old 1.5TB External Hard Drive is not Recognized on my Dell Laptop

I need help, I just bought this thing and now it won’t work. I put a whole bunch of movies and things on it and was just transferring a movie from my computer to the hard drive and it came up with an error message.

I googled the error message and it told me to restore the computer. I restored the computer and It still wouldn’t transfer. I restored it again and now it won’t recognize the External Hard Drive at all.

I don’t have any money to pay for the recovery or whatever it is. I can’t buy some system to fix it. There has to be a way for me to fix it here. 

Please Help Me.

There’s a couple of things you can try :

1- Try the drive with a different computer.

2- Connect drive to a wall outlet and not a power surge.

3- Try updating the firmware on the drive.

4-  Right click computer>left click manage> disk management and verify if drive is showing there.

 5- You can try recovering the files with a   Data Recovery Software
