Hello,

I have a  320GB my essenital ext hd…the problem I am  having is that when I click on some folders it comes up blank pages.  I put the files in thumbnails and it shows that the files are still there but i can not access them for some reason…my music is accessable, but some other files and pictures cannot be accessed.  What could be the problem?  Can it be fixed or will i lose those precious files?

I your case, fortunately there seems to be only partial files corruption, What operating system you have in your computer, I would recommend you to use the drive with USB 2.0 then to Scan and Defragment the drive. If the partition can not be repaired you might need to use a Data Recovery Software.
