My Cloud Home v My Cloud (Downgraded Functionality? )

Beginning to wish I hadn’t bought the WD Cloud Home now…

Why on earth can I not see ALL the data on it. I just created a share via my Mac and on the IPad app it says there is nothing there. On the old Mycloud it would show me it quite happily.

Why on earth have WD decided in their wisdom to build something which does not allow full sharing of the data on it …

I can see no way to get data off Mycloud Home onto my IPad when it’s been put there by a Mac …

Is this working as designed or am I missing something basic?

If working as designed you need to fire your designers.

@gkinghrn Take a look at the Learning Center for more information on the My Cloud Home.

If you search the WD Community you will find more topics like yours, since this device has been around for several years now.

Thank you for your response.

However it did not even remotely respond to the question and issue raised (this was the 3rd message about poor functionality in Home v Mycloud capability.

I have read all the information and I cannot find a way to see data on my drive on both my IPad and the Mac - they appear to be deliberately partitioned to not be seen by both devices.

Assuming I have not read , researched and tried a number of different ways to do this isn’t welcome.

I am network technician with over 35 years of experience in tech. If there is a way to do what I want then I cannot find it . Pointing me at these boards and some basic manuals about the product is simply not helpful at all .
