Is it possible to add some kind of a sleep mode to the My cloud home?
For example, its HDD would stop spinning after 10 minutes of inactivity and thus its lifespan will be longer.
I know there’s a lot of topics with this issue, but all of them share the same answer, similar to “the my cloud home is a server and that’s why it has to run continuously” which doesn’t help at all.
All I’m (and many other users are) asking for is a simple function to make the internal HDD stop spinning after some time. And if the user wants the HDD to be always on, then he can disable this function.
Also, the HDD gets really slow after being on for over a week.
