My Cloud Home (Single Bay) New HDD

Hello guys, please I ask you for help. I have WD My Cloud Home (single bay) and a month ago my HDD got broken. So I realized to buy a new one - I bought WD Red+ 3TB. When I installed new HDD into case and turned on, device looked like “Offline”, I started searching on the internet and found some articles that its tricky for new HDD, it should be formatted first and then install OS to HDD. Can somebody please explain me how to do it? Or is there any step by step tutorial? I found one but its for My Cloud, not My Cloud Home. Please tell me what to do with new HDD to get it work again.
