Can the drive write to an external disk attached to the USB port?
Where does the user/password reside? In the device or at WD? If WD, can I still log into the My Cloud if it doesn’t have Internet access?
Can more than 1 person be logged in with the same user/password at a time, thereby allowing sharing the same folders?

No Currently only copying from the USB to the my cloud is supported.

The UN and password associated to your my cloud home account is stored on WD servers IIRC. The device requires internet access to log into the account so you would not be able to access the private user space without internet connection.

I have WD discovery on 3 different computers and all are logged into the same account so this should work for you as well.
