I am going to be traveling and of course taking lots of pics and videos on my iPhone. I will have cellular data turned off so not to use up all my data, but wondering when I get to motel in evening if then all the pics and videos from the day then be uploaded. I would think so, but would like confirmation.

Yes, the photos will be uploaded if you have the Automatic Backup feature enabled in the My Cloud Mobile App. Once the phone will be connected to the Wi-Fi the photos will be uploaded to the device.
Make sure, the WD My Cloud Mobile App is running in the background for successful backup of the photos to the device.
