You are offering conflicting information repeatedly but you don’t seem to know that they are in conflict. The My Cloud Home is never sold as a “Western Elements Deskt 6TB” which is an external USB device complete with a different USB interface and power supply.

Western Elements Deskt 6TB

The My Cloud Home is never sold with an identification number that will show what type of Western Digital hdd is in the unit itself.

If this is a new device which you bought, you should identify the seller by name and counrty and see if they are an authorized seller of Western Digital products in your country and what recourse you have in resolving this problem.

No contradition!

If you enter the serial number into WD’s warranty checker, you get …

Model Number = WDBVXC0030HWT-EESN
Description = MY CLOUD HOME 3TB EMEA

The WD30EFAX is an SMR model. These are unsuitable for NAS applications.
