Hi, sorry if this question has been asked hundreds of times but I’m getting a lot of different answers from google

I’m looking at a cheap basic network storage solution and I’ve been looking at buying a WD My Cloud Home 4TB Portable Hard Drive seen here Ive read the bad reviews but all I need is some very basic network storage accessed via a couple of pc’s so nothing fancy.
my question is am I able to backup directly to a USB Hdd and if so can I set it to do incremental backups every week?

failing that Ill have to buy a Synology at almost twice the price unless anyone has any better alternatives?

You should visit the Learning Center and look at the Devices available from WD, look at the User Manuals and decide what will provide the services you want.
