Yes. The v2.x is “.bin” and the v4.x is “.deb”. WD has normally put the firmware files in a “.zip” container with their later releases but didn’t (for what ever reason) with the latest v2.x firmware. One can see a past listing of firmware (v2.x and v3.x/v4/x) at the following link:
