My Cloud EX2 VPN with WRT1900AC and MacBook

I am trying to set up my EX2 so I can access shares when I am off of my home network. I have a Linksys WRT1900AC router and have gone through the steps of setting up OpenVPN in conjunction with Tunnelblick on my MacBook. It appears as though the connection is successful, but the EX2 doesn’t show up as a network device and, therefore, the links to specific folders on the shares are not working.

My goal for this is to make things as seamless as possible for working with and saving files while away from home. The EX2 serves as the main storage device for my family’s personal data and would like for all members of my family to be able to use the computer in the same manner while away as they do at home.

Anyone successfully accomplish this with similar equipment?

I have not tried this, lets see if another user that has your same router as you and can share some information or tips on this matter.

Problem solved. The links I was using had the server name in the address. I changed the links to include the server ip address instead and things work now.
