Hi, I am looking to replace my old My Book Live Duo with My Cloud EX2 Ultra, but I found out that it is written in the system requirement that the lowest compatible OS is Windows Vista, my work place has two Windows XP that cannot be upgraded because they were needed to operate some old machines. Can I know if the d OS can access files stored in My Cloud EX2 Ultra?
I own an EX2 Ultra, and I can verify that it works even with windows 9x boxes.
It does SMB 1.0 and SMB 2.0. It might have an issue with discovery, but if you give it a static IP address, or register it with active directory, you should be fine regardless.
