My Cloud EX2 - one drive LED not flashing

After a power outage today My Cloud EX2 (3TB) was not accessible. After a reboot the device is accessible and the data looks good, however, the Drive 1 LED does not flash at all any more. Event after doing a firmware update and reboot only the Drive 2 LED shows any activity.

Firmware is 2.12.127 and the dashboard shows “Diagnostics - Healthy.”

I ran a “Quick Test” and it reported both drives as good.

I am not sure if the NAS is really working correctly as a RAID 1 device or not. Advice would be much appreciated.

Hello . I have the same problem.

Actually the drive 1 is not flash .

After this, i have tried to format de HDD, and when I have connected to the NAS, the disk start the reconstruction to RAID1.

After finish, the disk is in state degraded. No more info. All test in the NAS are OK.

For test , I’m thinking

1 - Power off the NAS.
2 - Extract the disk 2.
3 - Power ON.
4 - If we can access to the data the disk will be OK…

Can someone tell us if this test is a good idea?.
