i bought wd my cloud enclosure and would like to install the hdd 1TB i already had. where should i begin?
you would need to shuck the enclosure, a search on youtube will give you what you need.

the guides on youtube are done in ubuntu or something like that. is it possible to do on pc?
Use the forum search feature, magnifying glass icon upper right, and search for “unbrick”. There are numerous discussions on how to install a new hard drive in a single bay My Cloud enclosure.
User Fox_Exe has a set of directions for the first gen 4v.x firmware and second gen v2.x firmware single bay/single drive My Cloud units. The directions are slightly different so make sure to use the correct one for your My Cloud model.

Check the P/N ending number on the bottom of the My Cloud enclosure.
P/N “-00” is first gen.
P/N “-10” is second gen.
You cannot put the older first gen v4.x firmware on the newer second gen v2.x firmware single bay My Cloud units.

FYI one can use the Fox_exe’s Google drive links above if they cannot access Fox_exe’s anionix.ddns.net site.
Ya sometimes the google drive links are dried up and with google + sunset, I dont see drive being around much longer,
The network interface card in my My Cloud seems to have died. Did the enclosure you purchased come with everything but the hard drives? Can you please tell me where you purchased it from? I haven’t been able to find anything yet. Thanks in advance for any help.
P.S. Any advice out there on replacing a NIC? I have a first gen 3T WD My Cloud.
Getting the white blinking light but connected to eth0? me 2. I am sure you can google the chip thats attached to the mycloud.
