For a While now My Home Cloud device has been appearing offline even though its Plugged into an Outlet and the Router. I have been trying to see if i could figure out the issue myself with no success.
Since nobody here has physical access to your My Cloud Home (MCH) but you, this is something you have to troubleshoot yourself, but typically this is some router setting or firewall that is preventing access to your MCH.
The WD knowledge base (KB) has a better description and steps which you should follow:
- Connect the drive and monitor the LED status when power is applied.
Do not connect anything to the USB port of the drive itself.
- Connect the power and Ethernet cable to the drive.
- Insert the the other end of the Ethernet cable to and active port on the network router with internet access.
- Plug the power adapter of the drive into a wall socket.
- Monitor the LED status when power is applied to the drive.
Does the LED go to Solid White and Never Blinks when power is applied to the drive or does the LED go through Blinking Stages and Finally Solid White?
