My Cloud Desktop App Bug Report

Hi All, 

I run a Macbook Pro 15" screen with OX v 10.9.4

I have a very strage bug on the desktop app when I am in my home network.

Steps to recreate:

  1. Download and install the latest My Cloud Desktop App for My cloud
  2. Open the desktop app 
  3. I am told it cannot locate any device on the network
  4. If I press the “OK” many times the error message fades away with each “ok” press and then once I have pressed ok on the error message enough times I can then see the desktop app and use it.

Any Ideas on how to fix this?

I have the My Cloud Mirror 4 TB.

Running the latest firmware.

On the other hand, you can also attempt to manually map/access the drive without the application. The default device name is “WDMYCLOUD”

Are you using version 1.0.4.37? And also, does it happen whenever you open the app or on occasion?
