I note from the manual the LED has various indications. After boot up when it flashes fast, it is always permanently blue. Hence I cannot see when data is transferring or when the drive is sleeping etc. It does turn RED if I disconnect the network. (I don’t think the drive ever sleeps either). IS this normal?
I have also updated to latest Firmware 2.31.163 this made no difference.
The single bay My Cloud units do not “flash” the front LED to indicate drive activity. The front led will slowly pulse blue when in sleep mode (if your device ever enters sleep mode). You can find out more about what the back and front LED’s mean in the My Cloud User Manual for your My Cloud version.
