My Cloud 100% CPU when USB Drive Attached

I found one other post related to this, but no one with a clear response on WHY and how to fix this…

My Cloud 2T just bought…  attaching a SeaGate 500M drive via USB, causes the WDMC to go to 100% utilization. The web UI becomes in accessible… the SSH shell becomes nearly 100 unresponsive. All functionality is crippled unless i power down My Cloud. If I have a drive attached via Windows, it to becomes inacessible and unresponsive.  Even after leaving it sit for 20+ min, it continues to be unusable.

Is this a known issue… and although this is a “community board”… is it not monitored bu any WD staff?|

Addtionally…  on the SSH shell… there is no “less” binary on the box…  you might want to consider adding that as well… :stuck_out_tongue:
