Speed of transfers to and from MyBookWorld are very slow and I’ve tested on 2 computers (one very new and quite powerful) and only getting max of 4 MB/s download. The WD device is plugged into my PlusNet Hub One Router (Gigabit ethernet, same as HomeHub 5A) via ethernet cable. All firewalls and Anti-virus turned off. Could it just be a bad or old ethernet cable? Any suggestions please?

i am having the same problem with one of my MyBookLive drives. one i get really good data transfer speeds and the other is extremely slow.
any advice or software to check and see if there are bad sectors or anything?
both are connected to the same gigabit router and everything but 2 drastically different transfer speeds.
any help would be appreciated

i am using the current firmware and MacOS X 10.12.6 2.3Ghz 4gb ram etc etc.
