My Book USB 3 update software not working on windows 8, disk is in use

Hi i have a WD my book usb 3 that i use with my mac for time machine, it suddently stoped connecting so i disconnect HDD and connect to my MacBook, did repair disk and now seems ok

I decide to update firmware to latest version, but on OS X it doen’t see my disk, even if i see it connected on finder

so i tried under windows 8.1, i run update software as admin, it finds my dislk and ask if i want to update from v1.016 to v1.022, i continue but it says that as to exit the process because disk is in use and ask to close all software

acually i just boot and nothing else is open

There are multiple application that opens when you turn your computer on. So, it might be one of the applications accessing the drive in the background.

Make sure you close any application that might be accessing the drive. Also disable your antivirus since it might be scanning the drive.

i’m going to try but actually is pretty new instalaltion, is on a macbook as dual boot and i’m not even sure i did install anathing else of browsers 

i use that window installation just to test web sites / web applications

i’m going to check if i did install an antivirus
