Would temporarily replacing both drives in my Thunderbolt Duo erase their Raid configuration?
So would I be able to insert them back without losing the data on them or is it possible?

Replacing both the hard drives in My Book Thunderbolt Duo would not affect data, if we place the same hard drives in same bay of drive enclosure just like as they were placed earlier. This will allow to automatically rebuild the RAID.
Note : Data will be lost if you place both hard drives in different bay as they were placed earlier.
