can’t get pc to recoginize my studio II 4 tb in any way shape or form.  Am running windows 7 home premium. have tried all the remedies I could find in the forum, nothing has worked so far.  She just sits and slowly blinks, as if she is stuck in standy.

Does any one have a solution?

This drive comes formatted for Mac and is not usable on Windows as is. Did you reformat it NTFS for Windows?

Thanks for your response, I am aware of the need to reformat the drive, have found the steps to reformat in the forum.

This would be great if  my computer would actually let me reformat it.  Any other sugestions?

Find the drive on the WD site and they have a format tool  for download. Try downloading and using that,
