I received last night a My Book Studio II 2TB and proceeded to try and attach it via firewire. Nothing I tried worked, this includes the registry change for enumeration from MS, updating all the software from the WD site including firmware and agent. I have looked for hidden devices in the device manager, but nothing shows up at all. Now if I hook it up via USB, it shows up and works, I even got it setup for Raid 1 this way. But I was really wanting the speed of the firewire hookup.
My computer is homebuilt, Abit IC7-G mobo with the TI firewire chipset. Any suggestions?
