My Book Studio, 2TB drive, problems with software

Dear all

On my iMac, I conducted the first back up sucessfully but now I appear to be having problems.  In the smartware software, I am unable to request another back up because the option to back up has been ‘greyed out’ meaning I can’t select it.  I also can’t access the drive settings because that option is also greyed out.  It’s almost as though the drive isn’t connected, but it must be, because time machine is currently backing up?

This is my first WD drive, your help is greatly appreciated! 

This looks like the software needs to be reinstalled, try to uninstall the WD Smartware, restart your computer and then reinstall the WD Smartware.
