I have a 250GB external drive, model WD2500I032-001 that is recognized by every other system I have access to, including Vista x64, Windows XP Professional, and Windows 7 x64 Home. But on my laptop with Windows 7 x64 Professional it says there’s an error with the device and it can’t access it. Is there a solution to this?
If the drive is not recognize on any computer and you already change the USB cable, then the unit is faulty and you will need to contact WD for replacement. You can do so either by phone or email.
