Hi,
one of the 2 WD10EAVS inside the mybook is fault (too many bad sectors).
Is it possible to sobstitute it with a WD10EADS. The difference is 32GB of cache instead of 8GB.

I tried to replace the broken disk with a WD1002FBYS but it didn’t work! is it because it is not a WD Caviar Green?

The model number is WD20000 H2U

For this model. You have to replace the drive with an exact match or it wont work.

i have the same problem. I replaced one of the 2 initialy installed HDD WD10EADS of a MYBOOK MIRROR EDITION 2TB WD20000H2U with a new disk GREEN WD10EZRX and after a few hours of cycling LEDs from bottom to top, finally the LEDs was alternate flashing between top and bottom (it means RAID degraded mode).
Its impossible for me to find the EADS disk. Have you any suggestion to solve the problem? May be some compatible WD disks.Thank you

Finally i found a new WD10EAVS.
Rebuilded the mirror in 3 hours. Now everything is ok. :grinning:
