Up until yesterday, My Book Live 2-TB was working as advertised.  Today, It is still working, but has lost the LED on the front.  I can detect no other issue. 

This seems to have occurred since the recent firmeare update.

Is this a common problem?  Do I need to send in for repair?

I think you need to replace the unit, the light probably burned. You can also contact tech support to see if they have any suggestions.
