My Book Live Duo stopped working

I have had this great product now for 6 years. The green light is on as per usual on the front. But the WD Photos iPad app hangs trying to access the MBLD NAS device. Worse, My Windows 10 Laptop can no longer access it, either through the Device Manager IP address in Chrome, or via File Manager. In File Manager MBLD is listed in Media Devices and Storage, but not in Computer. It worked fine about 4 days ago!
I have just seen a WD Support page saying “Support for this product has ended”!!! Now what?
I just pray that all my data is safe on the MBLD.
Is it a question now of using a WD partner to try to recover the data?
