My Book Live Crashes My iMac

Hi, Just bought a My Book Live 2TB and everytime i go to copy across my iTunes library my iMac crashes (with the opaque black falling down the screen)

Just wondering if anyone else has had experianced this and/or resolved this.

Also should the Drive appear in the “Shared” section in the finder folder? Cant seem to add an additional Hard Drive icon on the Desktop.

Care to tell the version of OSX your Mac runs and the firmware of the MBL? The MBL will be in the shared section of finder, but if you want to see it on your desktop then click on Go> connect to server> type smb://mybooklive> click connected> either connect as a guest for public access or as a registered user for a private share, then click on finder preferences and check the box for connected servers.
